Evan is using Matt's knife to open his present that Nicole wrapped so carefully with ribbon. However, if you look closely he is using the knife pointing toward himself. We've got to work on that. Dangerous! :-)
Uncle Andrew would be the one to buy him DRUMS!
Grandma Rhonda was teasing Evan with his corn on the cob birthday cake! We told him now that he was 5 he had to eat his veggies. That didn't go over with him. He knew better. Love the look on his face.
This is the real birthday cake. Racecar Icecream Cake! Yum!!
After presents and cake he wanted to go swimming at the pirate ship. His favorite thing to do at the beach.
He thinks he's something special because he gets to spend his birthday every year at the beach. Which just happens to fall the same week as the time share week. :-)
One of our daily routines while at the timeshare. Feeding the ducks at the pond behind our room. We even had some very extra friendly turtles to come for a visit and a crane!
We decided it would be FUN to get up early one morning and take the kids to see the sunrise!
They were actually pretty excited to go. The view was beautiful!
Grandma and Aunt Brenda thought the kids would enjoy a dolphin cruise! Sounded like fun to me! So a dolphin cruise we did! Wanna guess how many dolphins we saw?
See any dolphins? Nope not a one! The boat was very rocky and I was very sick! I managed not to lose my cookies on the boat ride. Apparently there were some rough sea's so all the shrimp boats and come in. The dolphins follow the shrimp boats and that is what the cruise folk depend on to catch sight of these dolphins. They were however nice enough to give us a rain-check for next time. So looks like we will be going on a dolphin cruise next year.
That just about sums up our week. We did actually make it to the beach twice, but I didn't get any pics of that. We really enjoyed our time together as a family and we look forward to next year with two extra family members.
happy birthday to you
