Snow in Harlem, GA

So, the weather man called for snow and all of us locals just laughed and went about our day.

I picked the girls up from school on Friday afternoon and they were so excited because it was supposed to snow. We informed the kids it probalby would not and if it did it would only be a little and it wouldn't stick (because it never does).

So soon after the kids get home from school it starts so show some snow flurries. Soon after that it started snowing. So we rushed the kids out to play in it because we knew it wasnt going to stay for long and it wasn't going to stick.

We bundled up the kids and drove to the store to rent a redbox movie and enjoy our night as a family. Only to come home and have no power! Okay, whats going on here! We build a fire in the fire place and puts the kids down to bed on the floor in the den in front of the fire. We wanted them to stay warm, okay!

We wake up Saturday morning to SNOW! We couldn't believe it. I was waking up the kids so I (I meant we) could go play in the snow. It had not snowed in GA like that since I was a little kid. Even then it probably wasn't that much but it seemed like it because I was little.

The kids were having so much fun, even our dog (Loki) joined in on the fun! He is such a great dog.

We had to build a snowman of course! A few pics of the kids with said snowwoman.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Mommy had lots of laundry from all the changing of clothes which went something like this. Lets go out and play in the snow!! Yes, Mommy and Daddy are coming too! Lets go in cause I'm cold! Okay! Mommy is cold too. Daddy, Mommy, Lexi, Ally & Evan change clothes and put on something warm. A little while later. Can we go back out and play in the snow. Why of course you can! Get dressed in new clothes, which involves many layers so they will stay warm. Soon after.... I'm cold can we go in now. Yes, make sure to put your wet clothes in the laundry. Take off wet clothes put on warm clothes. You see where this is going.

But I wouldnt have had it any other way. It is April and Evan is still talking about the snow.

Wonder when it will snow again. Hopefully it won't take 30yrs.
